Update – South East Queensland Three-day COVID-19 Lockdown

A new Direction from the Chief Health Officer has been issued Restrictions for Locked Down Areas (South-East Queensland) Direction. The Direction applies from 4.00pm on 31 July 2021 until 4.00pm on 3 August 2021, unless it is revoked or replaced.

The vast majority of member businesses (in the locked down areas) are not included as a restricted business and may choose to remain open. Auction houses are restricted businesses but can operate online. Businesses must keep in mind the Direction very clearly states that a person must not leave their principle place of residence except for the specific permitted purposes.

Face masks are required to be carried at all times and in a workplace, except where wearing a face mask would create any other serious risk to that person’s life or health and safety, including if determined through work Occupational Health and Safety guidelines eg: where a mask could become tangled in machinery.
