Notice of Lodgement of Rule Change Application with the Fair Work Commission 25/10/2023.

MTA Queensland has lodged an application with the Fair Work Commission on Saturday 25 October  2023 to alter our rules as approved by members at the Annual General Meeting held Friday 10 November 2023. All proposed amendments are subject to approval by the Fair Work Commission.

It is recommended that:

  1. We remove the requirements for AGM’s for all Divisions through a Rule change application
  2. The other minor amendment is to create a timeline for Office Bearers to take up their positions if the AGM is removed. A full tracked changes version of the sections of our Rules can be viewed HERE, refer to section 4.5 (a) – (d) and 18 (t)

Notice of Lodgement of Rule Change Application with the Fair Work Commission 17/06/2022

MTA Queensland has lodged an application with the Fair Work Commission on Friday 17 June 2022 to alter our rules as approved by members at the General Meeting held Thursday 19 May 2022.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the impact on Industrial Elections, we proposed amendments to our Members for Election Amendments, Title of Chair, removal of Divisional Secretary roles. The proposed amendments were approved unanimously by special resolution at our General Meeting held Tuesday 19 May 2022. All proposed amendments are subject to approval by the Fair Works Commission.
