Reporting Odometer Fraud

Unlawful odometer tampering is a serious issue across the automotive industry and we need your help to take action against those performing this illegal offence. Odometer tampering, or odometer fraud, is the illegal resetting or alteration of a vehicle’s odometer to suggest a vehicle has travelled less distance than it really has.

Our ‘report odometer fraud‘ facility is a platform to report dodgy odometer tampering and helps us report valuable information to the Office of Fair Trading, who can act and prosecute offenders.

If you have been caught out by odometer fraud, or know someone who has, please complete the form below with any details you have – registration plate, dates and differing odometer readings, and any other supporting information you think may be useful (i.e Invoices, Services Records, Sales Advertisements, Car History Checks).
