Renault Arkana R.S. Line Lands Down Under

The new Arkana R.S. Line variant of Renault’s tasty-looking SUV has joined the local range, offering some extra sporty styling touches inside and out.

The top-of-the-range R.S. Line model gets 18-inch R.S. Line diamond-cut alloys, a specific front bumper design with an F1-inspired aero blade, R.S. Line badging, gun metal grey door trims and front and rear skid plates.

Inside, there are R.S. Line door sills, carbon-look interior trim, alloy sport pedals, a leather and perforated leather steering wheel with R.S. Line badging, red and grey contrast stitching, and R.S. badging.

Additional specifications over and above the Arkana Intens variant include a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and a sunroof. Options are metallic paint ($750) and contrasting black roof ($600).

Powering the R.S. Line is a 1.3-litre petrol TCe petrol engine, delivering 115kW at 5,500rpm and 262Nm at 2,250rpm. Euro 6 compliant, economy sits at 6 litres per 100km on the combined cycle.

Passive and active safety measures include Active Emergency Braking with vehicle, cyclist and pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Arkana range starts with the ZEN model, priced at $34,590. The Intens variant is priced at $38,590. Top-of-the-range R.S. Line is priced at $42,090.
