Previous MTAQ Board Member named in the top 50 most influential people in 2018

Richard Ireland, a previous Motor Trades Association of Queensland (MTA Queensland) board member was named in the 2018 top 50 most influential people in Far North Queensland.

The list, make up of people with ties and roots to this community saw Richard come in at 46.

As well as previously sitting on the MTA Queensland Board, Richard is joint managing director of the longest established motor dealership in Cairns, Ireland’s of Cairns, selling and servicing 10 brands, including Holden, HSV, Fiat-Chrysler, Mitsubishi and Isuzu.

He is a director of seven other family owned companies.

Outside the family business, Mr Ireland has extensive community interests and roles, including president of the Far North Queensland Youth Assistance Fund, a past president and past secretary of the Rotary Club of Cairns and an active Rotarian for more than 25 years.
