Nominations now open for 2021 Queensland Training Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2021 Queensland Training Awards!

Spread across 14 categories, the esteemed awards recognise individuals and organisations for their contribution and success to the state’s vocational education and training (VET) sector.

With categories for apprentices, trainees, vocational students, teachers, and trainers, as well as training providers and employers, the awards highlight all that is great about Queensland’s training system.

Employers are encouraged to nominate themselves or their apprentices/trainees for the employer or individual categories. View the award categories HERE.

The awards not only showcases the value of vocational training but can also open doors for winners and finalists. The benefits, as described by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training, can be seen below.

For individuals, being a finalist or award winner can:

  • Open doors and extend your career
  • Provide recognition for your hard work
  • Raise your profile and help inspire others to give VET a go.

For organisations, being a finalist or award winner can:

  • Help build your business and raise your profile
  • Provide recognition for your organisation’s hard work
  • Provide exposure to valuable business and networking opportunities

“The Queensland Government wants to see more trainees and apprentices succeed,” said Minister for Training and Skills Development Di Farmer. “It’s good for staff, good for business and good for the whole of Queensland.”

“Recognising both individual and organisational efforts, the awards can help entrants expand their career options and raise their profile – providing added promotion for organisations as employers or training providers of choice in their region, state and on a national level.”

Applicants must submit their nomination using the online nomination portal.
