The updated Citroën C5 Aircross Sport is expected to arrive in Australian showrooms later in the first half of this year. It will be available in a single, Sport variant and boasts an upgraded engine and transmission combination alongside additional features as standard.

The C5 Aircross Sport now features a 133kW 1.6-litre Turbo Petrol PureTech engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, compared to the previous model’s 121kW engine and 6-speed automatic transmission.

Citroen says the C5 Aircross Sport offers a wide range of latest-generation technologies including Highway Driver Assist, a Level 2 autonomous driving system combining Adaptive Cruise Control with a Stop & Go function and the Active Lane Departure Warning system.

Additional safety features, as standard, include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind spot detection, Speed limit recognition and recommendation, Grip Control terrain management system with hill descent assist, Tyre pressure monitoring system, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Braking Distribution and Emergency Braking Assistance, Automatic hazard light activation upon heavy brake application, Dynamic Stability Control, and Electronic anti-skid system.

Also updated is the styling with Citroen saying the C5 Aircross Sport introduces a new design language in which curves give way to more structured lines. Updated interior features include a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen (previously 8-inch), and a new central console which also integrates a large storage area and regroups connectivity with 2 USB-ports and a wireless charger.
