The Motor Trades Association of Queensland (MTA Queensland) is thrilled to be announced as a finalist for the Lord Mayor Business Awards in the category of Australia Pacific LNG Award for Business Innovation.

Now in their 14th year, the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards acknowledge the contribution of businesses and individuals to Brisbane’s economy and the city’s profile as a vibrant centre of innovation and enterprise.

Dr Brett Dale Group Chief Executive said, “As the peak automotive industry body in Queensland, as well as the state’s leading automotive training provider, MTA Queensland has a responsibility to ensure we are leading the way by providing cutting-edge solutions for industry problems and supporting the opportunities created by start-ups and entrepreneurs for the automotive and mobility industry.

“In response to the need for an automotive innovation hub, MTA Queensland launched MTAiQ - Australia’s first automotive innovation hub.

“MTAiQ represents and works in the interest of members to offer solutions and advice in overcoming and adapting to technological disruptions seen in the automotive/mobility industry.

“We are honoured to be a finalist for such a prestigious award and we are really proud to be recognised for our innovation initiative.”

Through MTAiQ, MTA Queensland remains committed to driving opportunities for industry, supporting existing business to transform their business models and ensuring our members are supported through a time of major disruption.

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the 2019 finalists represent the wide breadth of talent and ingenuity within Brisbane’s business community.
