Mitsubishi recalls over 100,000 Triton model vehicles

Mitsubishi has issued a recall of all 2015-2019 Mitsubishi Triton vehicles after a faulty towing wiring harness was discovered.

Due to incorrect installation, electrical circuits in the towbar wiring harness may come into contact with liquid, which could cause the harness to overheat and potentially catch fire. This could lead to increased risk of injury to passengers and other road users.

102,616 MQ and MR Tritons built between 3 February 2015 and 2 December 2019 have been included in the recall, with Mitsubishi Australia set to contact all affected owners and advise them to contact their preferred Mitsubishi dealer for a free inspection and repair.

Concerned owners can contact Mitsubishi Australia by phone on 1800 931 811 or their preferred dealer on 1300 131 211.
