McLaren 720S Daniel Ricciardo Edition revealed for Australia

A limited-run ‘Daniel Ricciardo’ special edition of the McLaren 720S supercar has been unveiled, exclusive for the Australian market.

Named in honour of the Aussie Formula One driver, the unveiling follows Ricciardo’s sensational win at the 2021 Italian Grand Prix, McLaren’s first F1 victory since 2012.

Only three examples of the vehicle will be built, all painted in the same Papaya Spark Orange and Burton Blue as Ricciardo’s 2021 MCL35M F1 car.

Further distinct features include carbon-fibre sills inscribed with Ricciardo’s signature, dedication plates, his racing number ‘3’ etched onto the doors, and the Australian flag adorning the front haunches.

Daniel Ricciardo’s relentless determination and pursuit of excellence are qualities that perfectly reflect the McLaren ethos. Following McLaren’s outstanding performance with a landmark one-two finish for the team at the Italian Grand Prix, it’s the perfect time to reveal this limited series in celebration of the Aussie driver,” said McLaren’s Commercial Director George Biggs.

“The 720S is a fitting model to celebrate Daniel’s achievements and we’re delighted to see it adorned with the Australian flag crafted by MSO,”

The vehicles are slated for showroom delivery in the fourth quarter of 2021.
