Local car subscription service rebrands as it looks to expand internationally

Australian car subscription software company formerly known as Blinker.com.au has announced it will rebrand itself as it looks to expand internationally.

The rebranded Loopit.co platform was officially launched this week, with the company preparing to sign deals that will take them into New Zealand, South Africa, and the Middle East.

On the back of surging demand during the COVID-19 pandemic as dealerships turned to the subscription software for an additional source of revenue while new car sales plummeted, Loopit co-founder and managing director Michael Higgins said now was the ideal time to look at expanding the company.

“The COVID-19 pandemic saw new car sales at an all-time low and led to increased interest in subscription from dealerships wanting additional revenue. Our technology has already proven a success across Australia, and we’re excited to bring this innovative solution to dealer partners overseas,” said Higgins.

“As a brand, Loopit ties more closely to the technology behind our offering, while Blinker was specifically automotive inspired. We are exploring the opportunity to expand beyond cars, to be the primary solution for subscription mobility more widely, and we now have a name to suit.”

Launched in 2019, Loopit is a cloud-based subscription software provider that allows car dealerships and OEMs the ability to offer a car subscription-as-a-service to customers.

The company currently operates in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia.

Loopit believes the new refreshed branding and website will appeal to a greater global audience, aiding the expansion of their technology into global markets.
