Limited edition BMW X5M and X6M competition models due in 2021

BMW Australia says it has secured four First Edition BMW X5 M and X6 M Competition variants for the local market. Just 250 examples of each model is to be produced.

Two First Edition X5 M Competition and two First Edition X6 M Competition models will come to Australia in early 2021 and be available for customer order via BMW Australia’s new BMW Shop.
First Edition variants of the X5 M and X6 M Competition will get the M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine that delivers 460kW and 750Nm. BMW say 0-100km/h can be achieved in just 3.8 seconds. There will also be a bunch of tweaks and enhancements to the body and interior.

There’s BMW Individual Frozen Dark Silver special matte paint – available exclusively for the special edition models – while both models can also be specified with the BMW Individual Frozen Marina Bay Blue special paint finish.

There are touches of carbon fibre around the cars – including the rear spoiler fitted to the X6 M – plus M light-alloy wheels (21-inch front and 22-inch rear) in star-spoke design with a Jet Black, high-gloss finish that is also exclusive to the First Edition variants. An M Carbon engine compartment cover is also part of First Edition specification line-up. Carbon fibre also features in the interior of the special edition models, where there’s also plenty of Merino leather trim.

BMW Australia will reveal pricing and other details of the First Edition variants in early 2021 ahead of their local arrival.
