The all-new Ford Puma will be on sale in Australia in the second half of 2020.

The compact SUV, sourced from Europe, is a pretty cool-looking vehicle and will be offered, Ford says, ‘in varying price points, reflecting the diversity and lifestyles unique to local tastes and demands.’

What exactly the specifications and pricing will be when the Puma reaches Australian shores is still to be determined, but in the UK where the Puma is now available, it comes in a variety of trim and option models – the Titanium, the ST-Line and ST-Line X. All are mild hybrid vehicles and come powered by 1.0-litre EcoBoost Hybrid engines delivering either 123hp or 153hp and a very respectable fuel economy of 5.5 – 5.8 litres per 100km.

The Puma received a 5-star safety rating in Euro-NCAP testing and tech available in these versions of the Puma include Electronic Automatic Temperature Control, Pre-collision assist with autonomous emergency braking, Lumbar massage seats for driver and passenger, Wireless charging, lane-keeping system and lane departure warning, with a few specialist features in the higher spec ST-Line and ST-Line X models.
