Economic Recovery Taskforce established by Brisbane City Council to support local businesses

To help local businesses recover from the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, the Brisbane City Council has established an Economic Recovery Taskforce.

With local businesses looking to reopen and recover following the unprecedented times we find ourselves in due to COVID-19, the Brisbane City Council is looking to gain a deeper understanding of the important issues currently facing businesses.

Local business owners are being asked to complete a short online survey detailing how they think the council can best support them as they look to return to normal operations.

With this information, the taskforce will have a better understanding of the impacts felt by businesses during COVID-19 and can more accurately target the most at risk businesses and industries and provide more detailed support in areas that need it the most.

All local business owners and operators are encouraged to complete the online survey, which closes on Friday 12 June.

The announcement of the Economic Recovery Taskforce comes in addition to the previously released support initiatives from the Brisbane City Council, including the $7.9 million business relief package, rates relief and free one-on-one support via Council’s Small Business Liaison team.
