Bentley Releases New GT Mulliner Blackline Edition

Bentley has responded to the growing popularity of its Blackline exterior trim package by extending it to the GT and GT Convertible Mulliner model lines.

“By bringing a daring, black alternative to the exterior chrome-work on Bentley’s class-leading Grand Tourer, Mulliner is presenting a darker side to the ultra-luxury brand’s popular four-seater, complementing the myriad of options available to clients,” the company wrote.

The GT Mulliner Blackline delivers a contemporary twist from the standard specification, along with some more customization options for the cabin and paintwork.

Like Bentley’s standard Blackline range, the Mulliner Blackline edition features black exterior trims to replace the chrome brightwork found on the standard GT Continental.

Upgrades include black 22-inch allow wheels with self-levelling badges and “Mulliner” plaques for the intakes on the car’s front wings.

Inside, buyers also get diamond-quilted leather upholstery, which is available in a choice of eight tri-tone colour finishes. According to Bentley, each car has almost 400,000 stitches in the cabin, 712 per diamond.

Depending on the region, the new Mulliner Blackline trim can be specified with both coupe and convertible body styles of the Continental GT, and either a 404kW 4.0-litre V8 or a 467kW twin-turbocharged 6.0 litre W12.

Both engines are paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a four-wheel-drive system as standard.

“The addition of the Blackline edition to the Mulliner range of GT models reinforces Bentley’s position as the world’s leading manufacturer of luxury sporting Grand Tourers, whilst offering bespoke solutions for the most discerning customers who want cars as unique as their own personalities.”
