2019 Ready To Race!

29 March 2019 – It has been what has felt like an eternity, but the MTAQ Racing Team is back for another tilt at the Queensland Series X3 Excel Championship – starting with Round 1 at Morgan Park (Warwick) this weekend March 29-31. This is the first installment in what promises to be a huge year for Excel racing not only in Queensland, but across the country.

Rod Pether Motors on the Road To Recovery

28 Mar 2019 – MTA Queensland member and used car dealer, Rod Pether Motors in Rosslea, is slowly making its recovery after torrential flooding in the Townsville region last month. Rod’s stock was engulfed in over a metre of floodwater.

18 Mar 2019 – On the 27-28 March Dr Brett Dale, CEO for MTA Queensland has been invited to be a participant on an expert panel at the 9th Annual Australian Healthcare Week. The purpose is to discuss the role of autonomous vehicles (AV) for the health care sector with health professionals and academics.

Benefits of MTA Queensland’s Apprentice Mentoring Program

6 Mar 2019 – In 2017, the Australian Government introduced the Industry Specialist Mentoring for Australian Apprentices (ISMAA) program, which aims to increase apprentice retention through regular face-to-face guidance. Dr Brett Dale, group chief executive of The Motor Trades Association of Queensland, which was selected as an ISMAA provider, says mentors have a major positive effect on the future workforce of the automotive industry.
