10 May 2019 – The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) was established in November 2018 and replaces the Financial Ombudsman Service, the Credit and Investments Ombudsman and the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal. The AFCA provides FREE, fair, independent and effective external dispute resolution for small businesses and consumers.
7 May 2019 – Queensland based Tritium is staying ahead of the game when it comes to electric vehicles (EVs), taking notice of the car manufacturers around the world who are announcing more and more electric vehicles, meaning Australia will join the uptake sooner or later.

3 May 2019 – EV price parity to fossil fuel equivalent vehicles is now estimated to be about three years away. The latest Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BloombergNEF) study backs findings from Deloitte made earlier this year, that price parity would be achieved by 2022.
26 Apr 2019 – MTA Queensland’s brand new Strategic Plan 2019-2021 has outlined a CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT. To that end, MTA Queensland established a green team early in 2019.
The team have identified 5 core strategies to focus on and have already implemented some significant changes.
26 Apr 2019 – The Auto Recyclers Association of Australia (ARAA) and Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) have stated that there were 800,000 vehicles sent to landfill in 2018, but the problem is surmountable.

23 Apr 2019 – The MTAQ Racing Team has safely returned from our first big interstate trip of the year to Bathurst, and whilst it wasn’t our best weekend unfortunately – we certainly far from disgraced ourselves in some fairly elite company.

The draft transport strategy will provide a 30-year long-term direction for how technology will meet the mobility needs of all Queenslanders.
