12 Sept 2019 – Dealers and chattel auctioneers are now required to provide a ‘class B’ statutory warranty when a vehicle has clocked up 160,000km or more, or has a built date of more than 10 years before the day of its sale.

27 Aug 2019 – The Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2019 will come into effect on 1 September 2019. From this date, motor dealers and chattel auctioneers will need to provide a ‘class B’ statutory warranty when selling older used vehicles.
