10 Apr 2018 – The Senate Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services is conducting an inquiry into the operation and effectiveness of the Franchising Code of Conduct and has wide terms of reference including the disclosure document and information statement, and the Oil Code of Conduct, in ensuring full disclosure to potential franchisees of all information necessary to make a fully-informed decision when assessing whether to enter a franchise agreement.

3 Mar 2018 – To ensure the vehicle standards are kept up to date, Transport and Main Roads regularly reviews the policies, procedures and legislation that govern the vehicle standards, including the technical requirements for vehicle inspections and modifications, and makes changes when needed.

New system for fuel seller reporting for Qld biofuels mandate

27 Feb 2018 – On 27 February 2018, the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME) (formerly the Department of Energy and Water Supply) contacted all registered Queensland fuel sellers, to advise of upcoming changes to the way in which they register and report under the Queensland biofuels mandate.
