AADA Appoints New CEO

MTA Queensland division, the Australian Automotive Dealer Association (AADA) has appointed James Voortman as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

James will begin the position from July 1 having had experience within AADA as a director of policy as well as a close advisor to communications minister Paul Fletcher MP.

James will take over from David Blackhall who has held the position of CEO since 1 June 2016 and will continue in a consultancy and advisory role with AADA until 31 December 2019.

“Every new car dealer in Australia owes David a debt of gratitude for the focus, commitment and in many cases the resolution he has brought to issues in a time of extreme disruption,” said AADA Chairman Terry Keating.

“His hard work and dedication over the last three years has provided invaluable leadership and is largely responsible for the significant gains the AADA has made in recent years.”

MTA Queensland congratulates James Voortman on his new position as AADA CEO and wishes the best of luck to David Blackhall.
