THE OLD AND THE NEW BRING RAY OF SUNSHINE TO CARS & COFFEE
The weather wasn’t great, but die-hard enthusiasts still made the trip out to MTA Queensland’s head office at Eight Mile Plains for September’s Cars & Coffee get together.
Star of the show was ‘Whitey’, a 1912 Willys-Overland Model 61.
For regular readers of Motor Trader, you might remember ‘Whitey’ from our Classic Car feature in last month’s edition.
A rather special and unique vehicle with a wonderful history, ‘Whitey’ made for quite a talking point.
Also making the trip out to MTA Queensland was a rather brilliant 1971 AMC Rambler Hornet, a picture perfect 1968 Mini Coupe and an equally pristine 1978 BMW 635CSI Coupe.
These classics were joined by some modern stunners, including a 2017 McLaren 540c Coupe – a 397kW, 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 supercar that can post performance figures of 0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h. Nice!
MTA Queensland’s Cars & Coffee will return on October 28. It’s held at our head office in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane between 7.30am and 9.30am.
Hope to see you there!
