MTAQ Racing Team chases a Warwick Victory

The MTAQ Racing Team is in final preparation for the latest hit out – the third round of the Queensland State Championship on September 8-9.

This round sees the MTAQ Racing Team return to what has been, generally, a fairly good hunting ground – Morgan Park Raceway.

The September race meeting is traditionally the fastest race meeting of the year – the combination of cool air and a crisp track usually equates to most setting personal bests.

The team will be no different as they look to improve on their own best lap time and best finishing position (2nd) that they took home from their last visit to the track in April.

The team have been working very hard since the last race meeting to overcome the issues that killed the weekend at the recent Queensland raceway event.

David (driver) is happy to say things are coming along well! The car will head to Warwick with our long-awaited, brand new engine (which is the latest specification), along with a host of suspension, exhaust and electrical revisions. We also have a new batch of tyres thanks to our friends at NETA tyres.

At state level, the team have been hunting around podium positions for a while now and they hope that these latest upgrades help us find that extra little bit of pace we need to nail a win!

As we have learned during our MTAQ Racing journey, nothing in this sport is guaranteed, so all we can do is prepare well and do our best on race day.

It is also very exciting to have some new sponsors on board with the team as well.

We have a new major sponsor in Aqualuma LED, who you can read about in this edition, and we also have welcomed Podium.com to the MTAQ Racing Team family.

Until next time everyone, happy motoring!
