Government fees to use the PPSR have gone down
The Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) is a helpful tool to allow Australian’s to check whether the second-hand cars they’re buying has any money owning on it or has been reported as stolen or written off.
From today, August 1, 2018, the fee to do a one-off online PPSR check will only be $2, reduced from $3.40.
Registration fees have also been reduced with seven-year registration to cost $6 instead of $6.80, $25 for a seven – 25-year registration (down from $34) and $115 for a registration with no end date (down from $119.)
