Funding Available To Help Businesses Grow

The Business Growth Fund was announced on 7th March 2018, which is designed to provide targeted assistance to local Queensland companies to enable them to grow and create jobs.

Under the new program, funding of up to $50,000 (excluding GST) may be provided to eligible small and medium sized businesses to purchase and implement highly specialised equipment or services to enable the business to move to the next stage of growth. Successful applicants will be required to contribute funding towards the purchase of equipment or services.

Applications will open on 28 March 2018 and applicants will go through a 2 stage assessment process, including a Shark Tank style pitch during which they’ll have to put their plans to a panel of business experts.

The Business Growth Fund is open to businesses with fewer than 50 employees and a minimum turnover of $500,000 can apply for the funding and must be able to make a contribution of between 25 per cent and 50 per cent.
