April 2022

As this edition of Motor Trader hits the inbox of readers, MTA Queensland is preparing to hit the launch button on an exciting, comprehensive new campaign aimed at protecting consumers from unscrupulous automotive service providers.

So far in 2022, we have seen a frustrating rise in cases of odometer fraud, dodgy roadworthy certificate issuing, and backyard repairs gone wrong, not to mention risks associated with damaged cars during the floods. All affect the back pockets of unsuspecting consumers.

Our message during these trying times, is that you simply cannot afford to deal with someone you don’t trust, so only look for an MTA Queensland member business to perform the services required.

This is a message that we will be driving hard across numerous media channels all over the state in the next several months, so members and consumers alike can expect to see us everywhere!

For this to be a success, however, we need the help of our members. We are asking everyone to proudly and visibly their member sticker and anything else featuring the MTA Queensland logo, to let the public know where to go.

In the coming pages, members can learn how to access and display the logo for maximum presence and show the world that you are an MTA Queensland member.

We are already receiving photos of members getting right behind the campaign and showing off the logo, which is just fantastic, and I hope to see much more of it in the coming months!

MTA Queensland acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we live and work- the Yugambeh and Yuggera people. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. In the spirit of reconciliation, we will continue to work with traditional custodians to support the health and wellbeing of community.
