All New Haval H6 GT Confirmed for Australia

China’s GWM will be adding to the Haval brand’s line-up in Australia with the sporty H6 GT model to launch into the local market in the second quarter of this year.

It’s a really nice-looking vehicle with significant styling changes from the regular H6 SUV, including dual spoilers and twin exhaust outlets at the rear, and a front end featuring a wider grille and an air intake at the lower end of the bonnet.

Core interior features such as the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch central display are shared with the standard H6, but the GT variant gets sports seats and unique cabin trim. The GT will also share the 150kW/320Nm 2.0 litre turbocharged engine and 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission found in the standard H6.

However, it does get high-performance Brembo brakes.

Its wheelbase matches that of the H6 at 2738mm but it is 74mm longer at 4727mm, 54mm wider at 1940mm, and height is up by 5mm to 1729mm.

The H6 GT will come with a long list of safety equipment including Autonomous Emergency Braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning.
