Multiple Mercedes-Benz Models Recalled

Mercedes-Benz has recalled 8,382 vehicles from its C, E, G, S, GLE and GLS-class ranges, citing potential issues with the coolant pump and vacuum circuit.

The recall affects the listed vehicles with OM654 and OM656 diesel engines, stamped model years 2017-2021.

According to the notice, “a leak may develop between the coolant pump and the vacuum circuit.”

“If the coolant enters the vacuum circuit and comes in contact with certain components it will result in an increase in temperature of these components and may result in a vehicle fire.”

Affected owners will be contacted once parts become available to have the issue repaired at their prefered Mercedes-Benz dealership, free of charge.
