Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) | MY2014-2015

FCA Australia has recalled 11,632 examples of its Grand Cherokee range, citing potential issues with the powertrain.

According to the recall notice issued by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications, “In some vehicles, the signal from the crankshaft position sensor may fail. This may result in an engine stall (loss of engine power), as well as loss of the ability to restart the engine.”

“A sudden loss of engine power increases the risk of an accident and injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.”

Affected vehicles were sold between 1 June 2013 and 1 January 2019, stamped model years 2014 to 2015.

Toyota Motor Corporation has recalled 7,671 examples of its C-HR (NGX10 and NGX50) range, mentioning potential issues with the fuel pump.

“The internal components of the fuel pump may wear and fracture the welded area of the fuel pump, which could lead to a fuel leak in the engine compartment. If this were to occur, vehicle occupants may identify a fuel odour when driving,” the recall notice states.

“A fuel leak in the engine compartment may result in an engine bay fire. A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders.”

Affected vehicles were sold between December 2019 and May 2021, stamped model years 2019 to 2021.
