Renault Australia has officially joined the Ateco Group, becoming part of a Group that sells the LDV, Maserati, RAM Trucks and Upfitter in Australia, alongside Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati and RAM in New Zealand.

The Renault Australia passenger car portfolio currently comprises Megane RS, all-new Captur, and Koleos. The commercial portfolio is made up of Kangoo, Trafic and Master.

The Renault business will be led by Glen Sealey, former COO of Maserati Australia and New Zealand.

“Product will always be key,” said Mr Sealey. “The launch of the All-New Captur marks the start of a product offensive from Renault, not just in terms of new vehicles but drivetrains, too. Renault is well positioned to capitalise on the rising EV trend once it’s strongly adopted in Australia.”

Neville Crichton CNZM, Founder and Executive Chairman of the Ateco Group said the Renault deal was a ‘significant milestone’ for the company.

“History shows we usually initiate the presence of automotive brands in Australia, but this is the first time in over 30 years we have taken on an established OEM – we’re delighted to welcome Renault Australia to the Ateco Group,” he said.
