Ferrari confirms first all-electric car arrival for 2025

Ferrari has confirmed that its first all-electric supercar will be unveiled in 2025.

During the company’s Annual General Meeting, Ferrari Chairman and acting Chief Executive Officer John Elkann confirmed three new models will be unveiled over the next few months, and in 2025, the brand will reveal its first EV.

“We are continuing to execute our electrification strategy in a highly disciplined way,” Elkann told British publication Auto Express.

“We are also very excited about our first all-electric Ferrari that we plan to unveil in 2025, and you can be sure this will be everything you dream the engineers and designers at Maranello can imagine for such a landmark in our history.”

“Our interpretation of these [EV] technologies both in motorsport and in road cars is a huge opportunity to bring the uniqueness and passion of Ferrari to new generations.”

To date, Ferrari has made two hybrid models, the LaFerrari and the SF90 Stradale, which is currently in production.

“If we bring in new technology, then we need to bring something new to the market. That’s how Ferrari has always worked with new technology. The evolution of new technology is 100 per cent in the DNA of Ferrari,” Elkann added.
