MTAQ hosts digital marketing workshop for small businesses

MTA Queensland recently held a digital marketing workshop for small business owners, offering helpful tips and advice on how businesses can grow their digital presence in 2021.

Led by Lysa Dugandzic, General Manager for Marketing and Communications, the workshop covered various topics ranging from social media presentation and strategy, to understanding Google’s Core Web Vitals of interactivity, loading and visual stability.

Digital services have a significant impact on operations in many businesses. In marketing, countless platforms now exist that businesses can utilise to post content, communicate and interact with customers. Lysa delved into how small businesses could take advantage of these services through Instagram reels, influencer marketing as well as visual improvements to graphic design.

The workshop also touched on automatic vs manual advertisement placements, asset customization and geographic importance, before closing with campaign objectives and budget.

Designed to introduce current and future entrepreneurs to how digital technology can transform their businesses, the workshop had something for business owners at all stages of growth.

The workshop was well-received by the engaged audience, with many taking the opportunity to ask questions and gain further insight into the digital marketing trends of 2021. The turnout was so great that the venue needed to be changed to accommodate the increased participation.

Aimed at helping owners adapt and transform their business in the wake of a constantly changing economic landscape, the workshop was delivered as part of MTA Queensland’s role in the Federal Government’s Small Business Digital Champions Project, where MTA Queensland has been selected as an Industry Association adviser.

In this role, MTA Queensland will provide free digital advisory services to help small business improve their digital capabilities.

MTA Queensland thanks Y(E)P Ipswich and Fire Station 101 for their assistance in hosting and providing a fantastic facility for the presentation.
