With a fresh design and engineered from the ground-up, the new GWM Ute line-up looks like a decent option for those in the market for a value-packed dual-cab.

The company – formerly known as Great Wall – has unveiled an initial line-up that will consist of three 4×4 Dual Cab models – the Cannon, the Cannon L, and the Cannon-X – all of which are powered by an upgraded 2.0 litre Turbo Diesel engine and ZF 8-speed automatic transmission.

Improvements to the 2.0 litre Turbo Diesel engine will see it pump out 120kW and 400Nm, offer improved fuel efficiency (9.4L per 100km) and new additions include a Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT), variable turbo inlet, and upgraded air intake throttle and camshaft.
