Hyundai Launches Performance i30 Sedan N Line Model

Having launched the new-look i30 (Elantra) sedan earlier this year, Hyundai has now unveiled the N line performance version of the popular model offering, the company says, an ‘attractive entry point to the Hyundai’s high-performance N Brand line-up’.

The i30 Sedan N Line is powered by a 1.6-litre GDI turbocharged engine with six-speed manual or seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission (DCT) that produces 150kW and 265Nm. Mechanical improvements to the i30 Sedan’s suspension have increased stiffness, and there are 18-inch alloy wheels, plus multi-link independent rear suspension and larger front brake rotors. Hyundai says the model will receive a bespoke Australian suspension tune.

Visually, there is a sharper, performance feel to the N Line with some restyled elements to the front and rear, including integrated spoiler, chrome twin exhaust
and N Line rear diffuser.

Inside, there are paddle shifters and a Drive Mode Selector system and interior design elements include a leather-wrapped, perforated N steering wheel with metallic spokes, N sport seats with leather bolsters, gearshift with metal accents and leather inserts, and alloy pedals.

An array of driver assist, safety and convenience features include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), High Beam Assist (HBA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW) and Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA) with Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA). In addition, i30 Sedan N Line comes with Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Hyundai says that following the launch of the i30 Sedan N Line, it plans to launch a Sonata N Line with 2.5-litre turbocharged GDI engine.

The new i30 Sedan range (including N Line) will launch locally in Q4 2020.
