faulty reverse light leads to 2020 Toyota Corolla hatch recall

Toyota Australia has announced a recall for the 2020 model-year Corolla hatch petrol and hybrid models due to a faulty reverse light wiring.

The recall was announced after it was discovered that an electrical component in the rear hatch was susceptible to corrosion over time, which was resulting in resulting in reduced brightness in the reversing lights.

Included in the recall is 661 vehicles sold between 5-12 December 2019, while a further 119 affected vehicles remain unsold at dealerships.

Toyota Australia are in the process of contacting all affected vehicle owners to organize a free inspection and repair at their preferred dealership.
