Member Engagement is our Top Priority

As Queensland’s peak body representing the interests of members in the retail, service and repair sectors of the automotive industry, the Motor Trades Association of Queensland (MTA Queensland) exists for the benefit of our members.

Following the guiding principle that members and clients are at the core of what we do, MTA Queensland works diligently to listen and respond to members’ concerns while also striving to provide access to a range of benefits in the areas of support, advocacy, training, innovation and services.

This strong focus on member engagement is reflected in key strategy one of the Association’s 2019-21 Strategic Plan – ‘Service Excellence’.

To achieve this key strategy, MTA Queensland will offer member businesses the opportunity to be promoted through the Motor Trader e-magazine from the beginning of 2020.

The offer, free as part of MTA Queensland membership, will entail a business profile feature in Motor Trader.

Over the next few weeks, MTA Queensland staff will be contacting members to discuss this opportunity which will be open to the first 100 members who take up the offer.

Members can participate by filling out a simple online form that will be emailed to them and attaching one or two high quality photos of their business.

The profile will be featured in one of the monthly Motor Trader editions to be published over the course of 2020, with members being advised by email when their profile has been published.

The content of the profile will then be added to the MTA Queensland website and posted to our Facebook page which has over 4,500 followers extending the reach of the business’ promotion.

Motor Trader is a substantial magazine with a reach well beyond its 8,000 subscribers. Now in its 87th year of publication, Motor Trader is one of the longest running trade magazines in the country and a recognised publication in industry circles. The MTA Queensland website also has strong traffic with 95,400 users in the 2018/19 financial year.

“I look forward to members taking up this opportunity as we know business owners are time poor and always looking for ways to expand their profile,” said General Manager of Member Services Kellie Dewar.

“To be featured in Motor Trader, and on the website and social media is great free publicity, which will promote the business and hopefully lead to more customers. The offer is already gaining strong traction with completed online forms rolling in.”
