Tyres4U, Australia’s largest independent tyre distributor, has acquired Tyre and Tube Australia (TTA).

TTA is a leading specialty tyre and tube wholesaler in addition to being a substantial distributor of value tier passenger and truck tyres.

“Given the range of Tyres4U product portfolio, plus its considerable investment in technology, I am delighted we are becoming part of such an innovative and strategically intuitive organisation,” said Andrew Bloxham, TTA owner and CEO. “This move will provide better opportunities for our customers. Combining the strengths of Tyres4U and TTA, whereby we believe we have the best brands and largest range in each tyre category, will provide greater value for the customers of both businesses.”

The companies say that TTA will be absorbed into the Tyres4U operation. This is expected to be complete by the end of November 2019.

Tyres4U said that the acquisition of TTA will further strengthen its position as a major player in the industry by realising improvements in efficiency and distribution plus offering the strongest tyre range in Australia.
