The Queensland Government has provided a draft document for a self-assessment checklist that has been put together to assist metal recovery operators to understand their legislative requirements to comply with the conditions of the Environmental Authority and to also provide guidance regarding the Department’s expectations.

MTA Queensland members are encouraged to provide input into the document with a special focus on:

• Is the document easy to follow and understand?
• Is the format suitable?
• Are there aspects of the activity that have not been included and should be?
• Are there any other changes/improvements that could be incorporated to improve the value of the document?
