Audi Australia has issued a recall notice for the 2017-2019 Q5 model after concerns were raised that wheel arch covers could fall lose and even detach from the body of the vehicle.

The recall notice states that he covers may have been installed incorrectly during the manufacturing process.

“Wheel arch covers may be incorrectly fastened on some vehicles and may loosen over time,” said the notice.

“If the wheel arch cover loosens, they may detach from the vehicle and pose an accident risk to road users.”

According to Audi Australia, the recall affects 2070 vehicles, with affected owners being notified directly to discuss appointment arrangements to have their vehicle inspected and fixed.
