MTA Queensland supports the RACQ

There was plenty of fun for car enthusiasts to be had at the 2019 RACQ MotorFest festival, held at the Eagle Farm Racecourse on July 14. Hundreds of classic, exotic and vintage cars were on display and there was a special treat for fans of Bentley, Citroen and Mini. Bentley and Citroen are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year while Mini is marking 60 years on the road, and there were plenty of models from each of the brands in attendance at the event.

MTA Queensland and MTAiQ were also part of the festivities. The MTAQ Racing Team was there with the racing Hyundai Excel, while MTAiQ Community Manager Nathan Nguyen Luu showcased the work of the Association and the innovation hub with the help of Lex van Cooten, founder of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality company Immerse Enterprises.
More than 10,000 people turned up to the event and the money raised from the entrance fee went to the RACQ Foundation and its Flood Assistance Project, designed to help farmers in north Queensland.
