Toyota Australia recall announced for 183 vehicles

Toyota Australia has released a recall notice that affects the Camry, Corolla, Prius and RAV4 hybrid models that were produced between April and May of 2019.

The recall is due to concerns of a component in the electronic brake booster pump assembly not being manufactured properly. This has the potential to cause the brake booster pump to fail to operate, sending a warning light to the vehicles dashboard.

Toyota will notify all affected vehicle owners personally and arrange an appointment to fix the issue. All affected vehicles will be inspected free of charge and any malfunctioning brake booster pumps will be replaced.

Toyota Australia are yet to report any incidents worldwide caused by this issue.
