Nominations open for Small Business Achievement Award and Women in Business Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Queensland Government Small Business Achievement Award and Women in Business Awards.

At MTA Queensland, we are committed to helping our members be their best and receive recognition for the work they do, and strongly encourage all our members to nominate for these awards.

Queensland Government Small Business Achievement Award

The Queensland Government Small Business Achievement award recognizes and acknowledges the achievements of small business throughout Queensland. The award celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit, passion, dedication and hard work of small businesses throughout the state, celebrating the contributions small businesses provide to the prosperity and economy of our communities.

*business must employ fewer than 20 employees to be eligible for this award

Women in Business Awards

The Women in Business awards is an initiative that recognizes the outstanding work of women who have embodied innovation, entrepreneurial excellence, leadership and tenacity in business and industry. The awards provide a platform to encourage ambition, confidence, inspiration and role models for female leaders now and into the future.  Entrants may either nominate themselves or be nominated. Awards include ‘The Women in Business of the Year Award’ and ‘the Empowering Young Women’s Award’.

Choosing to nominate for awards can provide numerous benefits to both the individual being nominated and their business.

On top of receiving industry recognition and acknowledgement, nominees receive the opportunity to network and connect with fellow members of their industry and gain recognition amongst members in their relevant field.

It also provides the opportunity to grow customer reassurance and promote the high standard of employees and/or your business which can result in your businesses brand and profile receiving additional exposure. Increased brand exposure can then lead to a rise in commercial success.

Past nominees have also found that opportunities have arisen in being invited to join industry boards and committees and they have become influential speakers and forum guests.

Nominations for the Women in Business Awards for the Gold Coast region close 31 July 2019. For the Darling downs region nominations close 15 September, 2019.
