Recall | Michelin Brand Tyre

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has released the following recall notice of Tuesday the 16th of October 2018.

Product Description: 
The affected tyres have the following brand and model numbers/sizes/DOT Identification Numbers, DOT HA3M followed by the number (week and year) 4016 (inclusive) to 2218 (inclusive).

Michelin brand 305/70 R22.5 X MULTI Z 152/150L TL

Manufactured in Spain -5th October 2016 and 6th June 2018.

Defects:
The tyres highlighted for the recall were manufactured with a defect in the tread due to a manufacturing irregularity.

Hazards:
Hazards include a risk of unsticking in the tread rubber, which may lead to partial loss of the treat, which runs the risk of causing an accident.

What consumers should do:
Owners can have their recalled tyres replaced free of charge by bringing their vehicles to a Michelin Authorised Dealer.

Owners can call Michelin on the Customer Service Line on 1300 72 7878 between (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm) or return to their point of purchase for a free inspection and replacement of the tyres.

The tyres were available for sale between 1 November 2016 and 31 August 2018.
