Nissan has revealed the 2023 Pathfinder Rock Creek – a bolder, more capable variant of the Pathfinder SUV.

Said to be the most powerful iteration yet, the Pathfinder Rock Creek’s 3.5-litre V6 cranks out 220kW and 366Nm when using premium unleaded. That’s up 8kW and 15Nm over the standard version.

The Rock Creek is perfectly positioned for adventure driving, featuring suspension tuned for off-roading, that sits 16mm higher off the ground. This is paired with all-terrain tyres with 18-inch beadlock-style alloy wheels, a tubular roof rack capable of carrying 100kg worth of gear, as well as an around-view camera with a mode for off-road driving.

That’s not all though, the vehicle will be available in six mono-tone exterior colours and four two-tone exterior combinations, complementing the aggressive exterior design.

This styling continues on the inside with embroidered leatherette and fabric seat upholstery, orange contrast stitching and captain’s chairs in the second row – limiting the total passenger capacity to seven.

“The 2022 Pathfinder was all about a ‘return to rugged,’ and the Pathfinder Rock Creek takes the spirit even further,” said Michael Colleran, Senior Vice President, Nissan U.S. Marketing and Sales.

“From the urban jungle to the natural beauty that can be reached within minutes from the city, Pathfinder Rock Creek has both the style and hardware to create an adventure just about anywhere.”

The new Rock Creek, along with the complete 2023 Pathfinder lineup, is scheduled to go on sale in the US in late 2022.
