Nissan has already sold out all allocations of its limited-edition Z Proto Spec sports coupe ahead of showroom arrivals later this year.

Only a few hundred examples of the Proto Spec were made for market, adding unique features such as the Ikazuchi Yellow paint with a black roof, matching yellow brake callipers, 19-inch bronze forged alloy wheels, and interior trim tweaks.

But hope is not lost for those wanting to secure their own Z… Thankfully, Nissan Australia is doing all they can to keep stock coming of the ‘normal’ spec, which is scheduled to arrive down under mid-2022.

Engineered for performance from the outset, the Nissan Z Sport and Nissan Z Performance models deliver significant gains in both power and torque over the previous generation – boasting 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engines that dish out 298kW and 475Nm.

Available with a nine-speed automatic complete with paddle shifters, or a six-speed manual with synchronised rev control for faster shifting, as well as a mechanical limited-slip differential and launch control as standard, both models remain true to the heritage of the Z brand.

Nissan has encouraged all customers to join the queue for the all-new Z via their website.

“The Z is the ultimate expression of Nissan’s sports car credentials and we expected demand to be strong for this incredibly special vehicle,” said Adam Paterson, Nissan Australia Managing Director. “All future owners of the Z have plenty to look forward to, with the fastest, most powerful and most exciting Z car ever; set to arrive in Australia very soon.”
